What’s Open in 2026: Free AI Courses With Microsoft
The headline of 2026 is artificial intelligence. SENCE and Microsoft launched a set of free, 100% online AI courses, and the introductory course “ExperiencIA” keeps enrollment open until December 31, 2026.
There are no fees at any point: you log in to the official SENCE portal with your Clave Única, open the “Cursos en Línea” section, choose the course, and your classes activate immediately.
Who Can Enroll: Official Requirements
The general requirements published by SENCE are simple: being over 18 years old, having completed secondary education (educación media), holding a valid Chilean RUN, and having a Clave Única.
Some programs add specific criteria, and every course page lists its own requirements before you enroll.
How to Enroll Step by Step
- Go to the official SENCE portal (sence.gob.cl) and open the courses section.
- Log in with your Clave Única.
- Browse the courses with open spots and read the details of the one you want: content, hours and requirements.
- Confirm your enrollment. For the online self-paced courses, your classes activate immediately.
- To come back later, log in again and use the “Continue my online course” option in your profile.

Two Ways SENCE Trains People
It helps to know that SENCE runs two different tracks. The first is online self-enrollment: courses you join directly with your Clave Única, free of charge, while spots last, with immediate access.
The second is convocatoria-based programs, such as scholarships and in-person training, which open in specific windows and may apply additional selection criteria.
This guide focuses on the first track, the fastest way to start, but both live on the same official portal.

The “Sociedad Digital” Diplomas: Proof of How Big This Gets
The best-known SENCE initiative shows the scale of these programs.
Its five online diplomas, certified together with Fundación Telefónica Movistar and Chilean higher education institutions, packed 90 to 100 hours each into three courses plus two master classes, and past editions attracted more than 150,000 enrollments.
Certificates and Support
Every course issues its certificate after you complete the requirements, and the documents download directly online.
If you hit a problem with access or enrollment, SENCE runs official support channels: the Buzón Ciudadano on the portal and the call center at 600 712 0028.
